The Virgin Atlantic American Express now offers up to 65,000 bonus miles in your first year of cardmembership. The new, improved offer is only available through this link, as the standard deal only offers up to 35,000 bonus miles.

Under terms of the new promotion, you’ll earn 20,000 Flying Club miles after your first purchase. You’ll also receive an additional 25,000 bonus miles after you make at least $750 in purchases within 90 days of opening your account. In addition, you’ll earn 7,500 Flying Club miles for spending $15,000 and another 7,500 miles for reaching $25,000 in annual spending. Up to 5,000 more bonus miles may be earned for adding more Cardmembers to your account.

Chase has now even further sweetened its United Mileage Plus Visa sign up bonus, offering 50,000 Mileage Plus miles after you make qualifying transactions totaling $250 or more. The annual fee of $60 is also waived for the first year under this offer.

There doesn’t appear to be a link to the online application, though you can read some of the terms here. Note that this promotion is only available to first-time cardholders with new accounts.

To apply, you’ll need to call Mileage Plus customer service (1-800-421-4655). Choose the “apply for a UA Mileage Plus credit card” option to be transferred to Chase. The Chase CSR will then be able to help you with this 50k bonus deal. (Via FT)

Citi is currently offering up to 35,000 bonus miles on its American Airlines co-branded credit cards, including the Citi Platinum Select / AAdvantage Visa Signature card, Citi Select / AAdvantage American Express and CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Visa card. Under this promo, you’ll be awarded 30,000 AA miles after spending $750 within 4 months of signing up and another 5,000 bonus miles if you make at least $5,000 in purchases during your first year.
